Thursday Tidbits
Cauliflower Small Plate
Solstice Wood Fire Pizza
Before diving into our usual tidbits of food and drink, we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the heartbreak so many feel after the devastating fires in California. Our thoughts are with those who have lost so much. It’s a sobering reminder of how fragile life can be and how important it is to care for one another, especially in hard times.
Food has this incredible way of bringing comfort and connection, a way we can show love, even from afar. This week's tidbits begin with a quick shout-out for volunteerism, plus some love shown to the service industries.
Solstice's founder is in LA to donate time and skills to those in need. If you are wondering how to help, check out @sliceouthunger @wckitchen.
Also, at Solstice, the cauliflower small plate gets a January makeover starting this Friday. Wood-fired cauliflower, house-made salsa verde, smoked paprika-date chutney, and fresh pomegranate seeds. (Pictured above, photo credit: Solstice).
