Thursday Tidbits

Two top celebrations anchor this Thursday’s tidbits: It’s the Lunar New Year AND the beginning of the Graze the Gorge event sponsored by Chefs Warehouse. Find out how you can help fight food insecurity by supporting local restaurants, plus who’s got great specials, who has fresh new pastries, and who is taking winter breaks and why.

The Lunar New Year celebrations began on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, marking the arrival of the Year of the Snake. Orange Cuisine food truck in the Heights will offer their signature Orange Chicken dish for $11, February 1st-4th, in celebration.

The Graze the Gorge event starts this Saturday, February 1st – Friday, February 14th!
Eat at participating Gorge Area restaurants, breweries, and wineries, choose their highlighted special during the above dates, and a percentage of sales will go to the Gorge Grown Food Network to help fight food insecurity. Here’s the list (and the special):

This weekend (2/1 & 2/2), hit the slopes and listen to some great music sponsored by Everybody’s Brewing! Head up to the Vertical for incredible views and delicious Mexican food, refreshing drinks, and tunes from 3-6 pm for @tonysmileymusic on 2/1 & The Honeyjays 2/2.

Celilo Restaurant is closing for a winter break but will be back open on February 5th.

Riverside Restaurant’s dining room will be under construction this Valentine’s Day, and they hope that if you still decide to join them for a special evening, their dishes, service, and the view of your loved one will make up for the not-so-riverside-view.

We can’t wait to see the changes!
